American Scene Press LLC is a publishing concern based in
Indianapolis, Indiana, and primarily features the work of award-winning motorsports author Dave Argabright.
Dave is a writer living in Fishers, Indiana. He has been a
feature writer specializing in motorsports and automobiles since 1981 for
publications including NATIONAL SPEED SPORT NEWS, Sprint Car and
Midget Magazine, Road & Track, and Car & Driver. His
broadcasting career has included work on Speed Channel, TNN, and ESPN, and he
continues to be heard on the Indianapolis 500 Radio Network.
His professional honors include the
"Outstanding Contribution to the Sport" award from the National Sprint
Car Poll, the "Frank Blunk Award for Journalism" from the Eastern
Motorsports Press Assn., the AARWBA "Bloys Britt Writing Award," the "Dymag Award of Journalism Excellence,"
the "Gene Powlen Fan Appreciation Award," and the Hoosier Auto Racing
Fans (HARF) "Media Member of the Year" award. He is a six-time recipient of
the "Media Member of the Year" award from the National Sprint Car
Poll. He is a member of the HARF Hall of Fame, the Little 500 Hall of Fame and the Natl. Assn. of Auto
Racing Fan Clubs Hall of Fame.
Dave has authored hundreds of auto racing columns
and short stories, and he and his wife Sherry have four children: Joe, Jake,
Amanda, and Chad. When he isn't writing or spending time with his family, Dave
enjoys classic movies, bowling, music, going to the gym, and tinkering
with his 1969 Camaro.
